Travel to Buenos Aires

Sandra & Jorge selected amazing venues and activities for the group as well as the best local milongas so dancers could get the most authentic experience as possible. We enjoyed the guest teachers (who challenged us) and review classes with S & J. Food and wine were divine (I am Celiac and had no problems). We had an Airbnb 10 minutes away from the muster point, which gave us a chance to walk and explore beautiful Recoleta. Strongly recommend! ❤️

I can’t say enough about the Wanderlust Buenos Aires tango tour! Even though I had already spent several months learning tango in BsAs before the tour, I think those two weeks taught me more than all the rest. Plus, it was so much fun!! I had been nervous about going to milongas on my own, so having a group to go with (and amazing leads to dance with) gave me courage to experience the real tango culture outside of classes and lessons. Sandra and Jorge are both incredibly conscientious, thoughtful, lovely people. Jorge is deeply embedded and respected in the tango community, while Sandra (coming from Canada, with a background in other kinds of dance) was like a “tango whisperer” for me, helping me better understand this beautiful, challenging dance. I will definitely do this tour again in the future!! ❤️

The whole experience was perfect!! The trip was planned with class! Well balanced in every way with great tango classes and Milongas, special tours and visits of the most highlighted spots in Buenos Aires: Historical museums, palaces, theaters, markets and cafes, tango shows and great dinning with lots of great Argentinian wine!!

Over and beyond my expectations! I loved it and want to go back to Buenos Aires for more tango and more sightseeing!!♥️ Thank you Sandra and Jorge for making this trip such a memorable experience!!❤️❤️

This was my second tango trip to Buenos Aires, under the caring and knowledgeable umbrella of Jorge and Sandra’s Wanderlust Buenos Aires Tours. This time I joined them for just the milongas and the pre-milonga classes. What a wise decision that was! They organized a well-paced schedule of a variety of milonga experiences that often included live orchestras and tango performances, with start times ranging from afternoon to evening and late night. The dance hosts that were available for us throughout the evening were both congenial and well trained; they made each one of us feel as if we were excellent tangeras and that they actually enjoyed dancing with us. Such a delightful time!

I loved every minute of our time with Jorge and Sandra in Buenos Aires. Their well-planned agenda included “everything tango”, as well as, a taste of the rich and varied culture of the city. I truly appreciated their flexibility: we were encouraged and assisted in tailoring the trip to our individual needs and wishes. Their caring and warmth elevated this trip well beyond the average “tour”.

Sandra Naccache and Jorge López are both outstanding as tour guides, as people and as dancers. The tour was a fabulous mix of experiences, from endless dancing to opera, city tour, tango show and amazing restaurants. There aren’t adequate words how much time, energy, thought and attention these two put into every detail, from escorting us to and from every venue, to personalized flower arrangements on the restaurant tables, and for offering your friendship, not just your services. Bravo! And Gracias! Many times over.

Sandra and Jorge planned and provided a rich experience in Buenos Aires. We had excellent instruction, not only from them but from other well-known local instructors. We attended traditional Milonga‘s accompanied by professional dance instructors who joined us on the floor. In addition to our Tango experience, Sandra & Jorge planned a wide range of tours and culinary adventures. I highly recommend this Argentine Tango experience regardless of your level of dance experience.

Have you ever thought of going to the other end of the world, immersing yourself in the Latin culture of Argentine Tango but didn’t know when would be the right time? Now is the time! For 2 weeks, I had the most amazing experience in Buenos Aires last May 2023! Through Sandra and Jorge’s lens, I had the privilege to discover the most mythic and sought out Tango venues of Buenos Aires. During this 2-weeks immersion, I was bombarded with various cultural activities that brought me from the most exciting gastronomical scenes of South America, through the most calm and peaceful air of its estancias to end up in its most exciting Tango Dance halls. On the way, I made new friends, new discoveries, but also honed my dancing skills. As a Neophyte in the tango scene, this journey allowed me to learn from some of the greatest masters of Tango in the World and to exponentially develop my leading skills over this short period of time. Always organized, Sandra and Jorge allowed us to have a safe magical journey, through the four corners of Buenos Aires. With a beautifully planned schedule, the most beautiful venues, the most delicious menus, I can definitely say this was one of my most memorable trip!

I had a wonderful trip thanks to Sandra and Jorge! All the activities were well-organized and varied, with plenty of tango, of course, but also cultural visits, excellent restaurants, and authentic experiences in the city. We had excellent tango teachers, and professional dancers also joined us so that everyone could fully enjoy learning and experience beautiful milongas. Sandra and Jorge know the city and the tango scene incredibly well: it was fantastic to benefit from their knowledge and advice. They were very attentive, generous, and friendly hosts. This was my seventh time in Buenos Aires and my first time traveling with them. I am delighted with my experience and hope to participate again!

Sandra and Jorge are magnificent, inspiring people who introduced us to tango and iconic places, unique to the history and development of this expressive dance and its origins. Places to discover, a culture, and unmissable food and wine: an experience to be repeated!

I loved my experience with Wanderlustbuenosaires. The organizers, Sandra & Jorge, did a remarkable job making this trip unforgettable. This included all the activities on the program: workshops with professionals, milongas, cultural activities, and gastronomic experiences. Very interesting workshops with Stella Baez & Ernesto Balmaceda and Natalia Gamez & Gabriel Angio. The Parakultural milonga at Salon Marabu is my favorite place. The gastronomic experience in Buenos Aires is extraordinary. The Palace has enchanting decor, impeccable service, and divine food. The charming rooftop bar at the Palace Alvear. Not to mention the delectable steaks at La Cabrera and afternoon tea at Confteria Ideal. And the well-coordinated cultural activities: a city tour, an outing to the Ranch, a show at Tango Portena, an opera performance at the Colon Theater, Argentine wine tasting, and the market fair. Dancing, eating, drinking, laughing, and making new friends—what could be better? That’s what Wanderlustbuenosaires is all about. A dream trip.
